This event is held each year by Filomena and Fortunato Multari, the restaurant's owners, as a thank-you to Friends of Karen, which provided support when their son Joseph underwent treatment for cancer for over three years.
The organization is a lifeline of support for families in the tri-state area who are caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness.
"In Italian, 'abbondanza' means plentiful, abundant, over-the-top profusion -- and that's what you'll enjoy at this delicious and lovingly prepared dinner," organizers note.
The evening's event will include a three-course dinner, wine and soda, and a raffle. Tickets are $100, and reservations are required, as seating is limited.
To RSVP, click here or contact event coordinator Gwen Salmo at 914-617-4051 or GwenSalmo@FriendsofKaren.org. If you cannot attend but would like to donate -- or honor a loved one -- you can also do so at that link.
The dinner will run from 6:30-9 p.m. Mamma Rosa Ristorante is located at 252 Route 100.
